ALABAMA

On the latest reports, African American dominates the largest ancestry group in Alabama with 26.06%, followed by American (17.0%), Irish (7.7%) and Scottish-Irish with 2.0%. Majority of the people in Alabama are Protestants, Baptists and Methodists. In the area of Mobile, a large percentage of the population is Catholics.
