MONTANA
The state of Montana is a state that is located in the Western side of the United States. About one – third of the northern part of the Rocky Mountains has about 77 mountains that were already named. That is why the state is named as Montana as it was from Montaña a Spanish word which means mountain.
Montana State is the third lowest population density in the country. And their economy is based on its mineral resources extraction, agriculture and lumber. Its tourism plays a major role in its economy as their top attraction that always generates millions of visitors annually are the 5 entrances to the famous Yellowstone National Park, the Glacier National Park and the Battle of Little Bighorn location.
Climate
The state of Montana is a huge state as it ranks 4th in terms of its land area that is why it has a considerable variation with its geography which causes its climate to be equally varied as well. Its western side is the famous Rocky Mountains while its eastern side is of badlands and plains which are broken by some hills and mountain ranges.
The west part of the state experiences cooler summers and milder winters with less winds. During its winter season, the valley would often time fog and its low clouds would form in the valleys. The mountainous region experiences the colder air that moves to the east from the Pacific, it has a drier air that moves to the west.
Its average temperature at daytimes would often vary. For the month of January, its temperature is at 28 degrees and on the month of July will reach 84.5 degrees. Its hot weather would take place at the eastern plains. During summer nights, the temperature is generally pleasant and cool.
